pins, velcro tabs and double sided tape
Important - please read the information
about fixings that are on a label inside the box.
Posters are folded and supplied in an A4
sized cardboard box. The box is slim and

Fabric posters are “hot-cut” which heat-
seals the edges and eliminates fraying.

2 Golden Rules when designing your poster
The two most common errors we see as printers of scientific posters are easily
avoidable which is why we have this information on our front page.......
1.
Always make your poster “actual size” Do not simply open powerpoint and make
your poster - enter the dimensions and then make it - it makes designing it much
easier, and the final print is much better as any images will be printed “as seen”
rather than being scaled up by ~400%
2.
If possible send a pdf with fonts embedded, or if this is not possible, stick to
standard fonts. Another common problem is with fonts and text “moving around”.
This is especially common in powerpoint which can have problems with different
version and also PC/Mac* versions. If you are not sure about your pdf file, send
both the pdf and powerpoint and then if we create a pdf here (using Acrobat
Professional) we can cross reference.
*In Mac powerpoint for some reason even if the slide is set to A0 or whichever size you
require, when a pdf is created, it defaults to making an A4 sized pdf file (typically with a
white border). Whilst we can crop and scale up, if you are struggling then send us both
and we’ll create an actual sized pdf file here.
Using a Mac? - we’ve been given this useful link showing you how to create an actual
sized pdf from powerpoint - https://youtu.be/CtIzM4GARuk
